IRRI’s projects are looking for an enthusiastic Intern to propose a fundraising campaign and carry it through. The fundraising can be done from Mexico or the USA. The idea of this position is to look for Mexican as well as International companies and organizations that are willing to sponsor some of IRR’s projects in Mexico. This intern will be required to learn in detail all of the projects and programs that we carry out in order to transmit a clear idea of our projects to potential donors. This intern could be based in the US, since it is not essential for this work to be done from Mexico, the intern will not have to pay the housing fee. The fundraising coordinator would be required to help build a fundraising campaign and organize different events throughout the United States with other organizations. Some sample activities would be creating sponsorship packets that would include invitations, alcohol, event and food agreements and thank you letters.
Desired Skills:
- Great communication and networking abilities
- High level of Spanish, both speaking and writing
- Creativity and ability to work independently
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop a fundraising campaign that will target potential sponsors.
- Interview the IRRI team members and project directors.
- Understand and describe all of our projects to any interested sponsors.
